Circadian Companion helps you understand your local day and follow a simple rhythm around morning light, caffeine timing, sunset wind-down, and tomorrow prep.
Circadian Companion is a self-guided wellness and daily rhythm support app. It is not medical care, diagnosis, treatment, therapy, emergency support, a UV exposure calculator, a vitamin D calculator, a burn-risk tool, or skin-exposure coaching.

Information Stored On Your Device
Circadian Companion does not require an account or login.
To make the app work, Circadian Companion stores app state on your device. This may include:
- onboarding completion and location setup state
- selected device or manual location details used to calculate local solar timing
- local day timing, including daybreak, sunrise, solar noon, sunset, nightfall, and strong daylight windows
- reminder preferences for rhythm cues
- local rhythm actions, such as morning light, caffeine timing, sunset wind-down, and progress history
- local app access and paywall state needed to route the app experience
This information is saved locally on your device unless Circadian Companion explicitly says otherwise in the app or in an updated privacy policy.
Location
Circadian Companion uses location to calculate local solar timing for where you are. The current App Store version supports device location and manual city selection.
Location is used for local rhythm timing, not advertising or tracking. Circadian Companion does not require background location for the MVP and does not send your location to a Circadian Companion server in the current App Store version.
If you do not want to use device location, choose a manual city instead.
Data Collection And Sharing
The current App Store version of Circadian Companion does not send your location, rhythm history, reminder preferences, local timing, progress, or paywall route state to a Circadian Companion server.
Circadian Companion does not sell your data. Circadian Companion does not include ads, advertising tracking, ad attribution SDKs, account registration, backend sync, cloud sync, social features, public profiles, user-generated content, or unrestricted web browsing.
Analytics And Crash Reporting
The current App Store version of Circadian Companion does not include an external analytics SDK or a developer-operated crash reporting SDK.
Production analytics in the app is disabled. Debug builds used during development may log approved event names to the local development console for simulator verification, but those debug logs are not part of the App Store build and are not transmitted by the app.
Apple may provide developers with App Store, TestFlight, subscription, purchase, and diagnostic information through Apple systems according to your Apple settings and Apple's policies. Circadian Companion does not use a separate analytics or crash reporting service.
Notifications
If you enable rhythm reminders, Circadian Companion asks iOS for notification permission so the app can schedule local reminders for selected cues.
Reminders are optional. You can turn them off in the app or in iOS Settings. Circadian Companion does not use notification permission for advertising or tracking.
Subscriptions And Purchases
If Circadian Companion offers subscriptions, purchases, trials, cancellations, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple through StoreKit and your App Store account.
Circadian Companion may read subscription status from StoreKit to determine whether trial or subscribed access is active. Circadian Companion does not collect payment card details.
Retention, Deletion, And Reset
Local app data stays on your device until you delete the app, reset app state through a feature the app provides, or iOS removes the app and its data.
Deleting Circadian Companion from your device deletes the app's local stored state from that device. If you use Apple purchase or subscription features, Apple may retain purchase and subscription records according to Apple's policies.

Circadian Companion is for wellness rhythm support. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency services, or personalized sun-exposure guidance.
The app does not provide UV dose, vitamin D, burn-risk, skin-type, sunbathing, or medical treatment recommendations. Be mindful of your own tolerance to bright sun and seek qualified professional guidance for medical questions.

This policy may be updated as Circadian Companion changes. The latest version should be available at:
